The difference between that and a professional structured cabling installation shows up in the details you don’t see once the ceiling tiles go back in: how the cable is routed, how it’s supported, how it’s labeled, and whether it’s tested before anyone calls the job finished. Cable pathways come first

Before any cable gets pulled, the pathway has to be planned and built — cable tray, J-hooks, or conduit, depending on the building and local code requirements. Cables should never simply rest on a drop ceiling grid or get zip-tied to unrelated infrastructure like sprinkler pipes or electrical conduit. A proper pathway keeps cabling supported, protected, and separated from anything that could cause interference.

Pulling cable without damaging it
